Housing for Heroes Veteran Village
The Housing First Minnesota Foundation, led by the housing industry, raised nearly $1.5 million in support of our Housing for Heroes Veteran Village. This initial fundraising success allows us the opportunity to launch phase one of our first-ever multi-unit complex: Veteran Village.
We are entering phase two of our fundraising efforts with a goal of raising another million dollars by fall 2025.
Upon completion, this Veteran Village will be able to house upwards of 60 veterans and their families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Achieving this major milestone and financial match will help us lead the effort to significantly bridge the gap for veterans experiencing homelessness.

Help support us in this historical movement. Building a Veteran Village requires all of us to do our part — to invest our time, talent, and treasure to make this happen. Our association and Foundation board members; large-volume, mid-volume, and small-volume builders; Artisan and custom homebuilders; remodelers; suppliers; developers; and other associate members each have a role in making this happen.

Housing For Heroes program impact:
Currently, there are more than 250 veterans experiencing homelessness in Minnesota.
Our Housing for Heroes program, in partnership with MACV, builds transitional and supportive housing for veterans and their families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
Together, we've built 11 homes totaling over 33,000 sq. ft. of dignified housing.
Each year, we build four homes and each home can provide housing for four individuals or a family in need.
We're currently building Housing for Heroes home 1 out of 4 for 2024.
