Housing For Heroes: St. Paul – Cottage Avenue

The Housing First Minnesota Foundation and build partner Lennar are building a three-bedroom single-family home that will be owned and operated by MACV. This project will break ground in April 2025 in St. Paul and will serve Minnesota’s veterans in need. Once completed, this new residence will provide veterans with stable housing and supportive services they need to transition into independent living.

This build project is the Foundation’s 15th Housing for Heroes project in the metro area and will provide much-needed housing for veteran families experiencing homelessness.

Each Housing for Heroes home provides housing for around 8-10 veterans annually. Veterans and their families can live in MACV’s supportive housing for up to two years while they restore their mental health, gain job skills, receive necessary wraparound services, and overcome barriers to finding their own homes.

The Housing First Minnesota Foundation is honored to be a part of this impact, and ultimately, our goal is to see veteran homelessness in Ramsey County, and greater Minnesota reach its functional end.
